Yarramalong Macadamia Nut Farm and Firefly Bistro is now a serene place for coffee lovers and nature enthusiasts to enjoy a break in the day whilst exploring the many attractions of in the beautiful Yarramalong Valley.

The Macadamia orchards contain around 600 mature trees which were originally planted 40 years ago when the farm was named the Barkala Plantation. It contains older cultivars which are now quite rare in the industry, giving the Macadamias a superior creamy flavour!

The farm is biodynamic in that only natural products are used. Every dish in the Bistro is cooked fresh for you in our kitchen from the scones to the quiches and our goal is to grow all our own vegtables and salads. The drinking water is pure rainwater as we are not connected to the town supply and everything is composted on site. In the future we hope to be totally self-sufficient.
